The Cyber Security Operations Center is responsible for protecting ITT Corporation against any unauthorized activity. The Cyber Security Analyst plays an important role in detecting, analyzing and taking action against cyber threats.
Job Responsibilities:
- Respond quickly and effectively to incidents, internal requests & drive to successful resolution awareness
- Collaborate with team members to increase collective knowledge and situational awareness.
- Collect, summarize, and chronologically document security event information
- Exercise multi-tasking skills by managing events in multiple systems, applications, and other priorities
- Manage and escalate security events according to service level agreements
- Monitor various security components for indicators of unauthorized activity and develop new indicators based on the current threat landscape
- Assist with post-mortem analysis when security breaches or viral outbreaks occur
- Designing network vulnerability scans and providing remediation alternatives
- Developing specifications for network security and protection technologies for company information and network systems and applications
- Identifying emerging vulnerabilities and evaluating associated risks and threats

Education:
Bachelors/industry Certification/Diploma or equivalent experience;

Experience:
Minimum 3 years in a Information Security role
Skills/Knowledge:
- Solid understanding of network security concepts and defense in depth
- Familiarity with intrusion detection / prevention systems, firewalls, proxies and anti-virus solutions
- Proven understanding of network protocols, architecture and design
- Security+, SANS Security Certifications, Offensive Computing (OSCP) or other security certifications are a PLUS
- Strong Problem Solving skills

- Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently
- Must work well in a 24x7 team environment
